Cookie policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026. This page explains how devops-systems.digital uses cookies and similar storage. For broader data practices, see our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use browser localStorage for remembering cookie consent. Some storage is essential to operate the site; other storage helps us understand aggregate traffic.
How we use cookies
Essential storage keeps the site functional and remembers your Accept or Reject choice so the banner does not reappear every visit. Analytics cookies, when accepted, help us see which pages are read most often. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block browsing, forms, or engagement pages.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| devops-systems-cookie-consent | Stores Accept or Reject preference for the cookie banner | Until cleared by you (localStorage) | DevOps Systems |
| _ga / _ga_* | Optional analytics of page views and referrers (set only after Accept) | Up to 24 months | Google Analytics (if enabled) |
| session_ok | Essential hosting session continuity for secure delivery of static pages | Session | Hosting provider |
Managing cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner when it appears. To change a prior choice, clear site data for devops-systems.digital in your browser, then reload the page to see the banner again. You can also block cookies in browser settings; note that blocking essential storage may reset preferences each visit.
Third-party cookies
If you Accept analytics, third-party providers may set cookies subject to their own policies. Embedded fonts may request resources from Google Fonts without setting advertising cookies.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics does not remove access to engagements, field notes, or the contact form. Only optional measurement is skipped.
